Step 1: Conduct an initial inspection of the RMK

Step 2: Connect to cellular modem with your phone and test connectivity
Premise: You will add the cellular modem Wi-Fi network to your phone and then use your phone to browse the internet, therefore confirming the modem is capable of transmitting and receiving a signal.

Locate the modem SSID* on the NEMA 4X enclosure door. *The SSID (Service Set Identifier) is the name of your wireless network, also known as Network ID. | |
2 | Using your phone, locate the modem SSID on the Wi-Fi list. | |
3 | Enter the SSID password from the label on the NEMA 4X enclosure door. The password is usually smc12345. | |
4 | Ensure you have a connection. (Depending on your brand of phone, a checkmark might appear next to the SSID.) | |
5 | Browse the web using the Wi-Fi. If you can reach a site, then the modem is working. In the example, the browser found the site of the 2022 NCAA football champions. | |
